There is a sign up sheet in the main office for those interested in being a 5th and 6th grade cheerleader. Sign ups close at the end of the school day on Tuesday, August 18. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Taylor at the school. A parent meeting will be held by the end of next week.

Covington/Pioneer Softball Festival Friday, Aug. 21st

Softball Games for Monday, Aug. 17th at Kremlin have been canceled.

Hunter Ed class available in Ponca City for anyone 4th-12th grade interested in archery. If you already have Hunter Ed, you do not need it again.

Elementary Cross Country (1st-6th grade) starts practice Monday, August 17, after school. Athletes will need to meet in the cafeteria after school and walk over together to the Ag Building. Please ensure they have a water bottle, running shoes, and shorts. You can pick up your athlete after practice, at 4:10, at the Ag Building. We're excited for an awesome season!

A few reminders as we start a new school year!

ATTENTION 5th-8th Grade Parents: Tonight, August 12, during Elementary Meet the Teacher, 5th-8th grade students are able to come to the building to check lockers and class schedules. Class schedules will be taped to student lockers. Please do not roam the Elementary Hallway!

The 2026 yearbooks are in and available in the office for the 2026 seniors! All other students will receive their yearbooks when they get back to school.

Cross-Country Reminder: High School and Junior High Students who plan to run Cross-Country this year will start practice tomorrow, Monday, Aug. 10th at 6:30 am. Meet in front of the school cafeteria doors.

ATTENTION HS FOOTBALL PLAYERS AND PARENTS: Football practice on Monday, August 10, originally scheduled for 9:00 am, is moved to 2:30 pm. Practices for the remainder of the week will be as originally scheduled at 2:30 pm.

Attention, Sport Parents and Athletes:

Annual Athlete Eligibility
Online Paperwork Portal

Each Year, the OSSAA requires all student-athletes (and their parents) to complete and sign
several documents before the athlete is eligible to participate in JH and HS sports. This Year,
OSSAA is using the online portal called Rank One. This Year, Medford athletes will need to
register and complete eligibility forms through this portal for the 2026-2027 school year.
Please click the Rank One link (below) to access your students' portal (s) and complete the
paperwork for this Year. Paperwork must be completed for each child who plans to participate in
an athletic event.

2026 Cardinals Football, Softball, and Cross Country Schedules

We have had a slight change to our PK-4th grade dismissal procedures!

All students in grades pre-k through 4th grade who are car riders will be dismissed through the car line using the south side of the school. Cars will continue to enter the line by driving north on Main Street. The main doors will now be used for 5th-12th grade dismissal and there will be no line that forms on the east side of the school. Thank you for your continued patience as we work to streamline procedures that ensure the safety of our students!

The high school football game vs. Crossover Prep, Friday, Oct. 9th, has been changed due to uncontrollable circumstances. The game has been rescheduled for Thursday, Oct. 8th @ Medford, 7:00 pm. Sorry for any inconvenience. Go Cards!!
